Camo-pattern outerwear, boots, caps and base layers are a new trend on the rise offering both functionality and a nod to the tradition of living off the land. Camo comes in a multitude of patterns to suit hunters’ hunting environment, their prey and personal preference.
Kelly Gentine, brand marketing manager for Ariat, says there is a strong crossover between individuals who hunt and people who live the Western, farm and ranch lifestyle.
“Many of Ariat’s core Western consumers live a lifestyle focused on the outdoors,” Gentine says, “and many hunt recreationally. Ariat is now offering performance footwear and apparel product options for this facet of their lifestyle.”
Ariat’s Men’s Conquest Collection features the Realtree Xtra® camo pattern, the leading camo pattern in the United States. Their Women’s HotLeaf™ collection features a unique camouflage designed by and for women who hunt.
“The Hot Leaf pattern is grounded in the ‘science of pink,'” Gentine says, “based on the visual spectrum that deer can and can’t see, and to develop a feminine appeal in performance hunting apparel.”
